Linux..Linux..Linux...what is this linux?? Well all those who read computer magzines or tech stuff might be knowing about linux..but hey this blog is for absolute beginners with no computer i am going to enlighten those newbies ...

Linux is an operating system..which means, it can be used as an alternative for Windows..which i am sure most of our readers might be using..or Mac OS..or DoS.....It is not a program like MS word..or set of programs like Office suite...If you want to be good in computers or go beyond video games..then linux is must for you..most of the web servers run on linux..most of the software engineers use linux..hackers cant imagine their life without linux...and if you remember that short wifi hacking tutorial which we posted earlier..It was also based on linux...So much is the popularity of linux..that....

There are many different versions of linux available in market these days..for beginners I would suggest "Ubuntu 9.10' aka "Karmic koala" . Its very simple and easy to use..has a very user friendly user interface..and best of all its FREE..To set up a dual boot computer..follow the steps given below..

 This is a kool programm which will bring you into the world of linux with few clicks. Just run this program and select the iso image of ubuntu and complete the remaining few steps.. thats are done... next time when you will boot your computer you will have this option to choose between windows and ubuntu..
